Ingredients for Tadkewali Chaas Recipe

  • Yogurt 1 cup

  • Ghee 1 tablespoon

  • Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Green chilli finely chopped 1

  • Curry leaves 4-5

  • Ice cubes as required

  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

  • Cumin powder 1 teaspoon + for garnishing

  • Salt to taste

  • Sugar 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves 5-6 + for garnishing

  • Fresh mint leaves 4-5 + for garnishing

  • Boondi for garnishing

Method

Step 1

Pour yogurt into a jar and churn with a mathni. Add ice cubes, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, sugar and two cups of water and churn well. Add coriander leaves and roughly torn mint leaves.

Step 2

Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and let them change colour. Add green chilli and curry leaves, pour this tempering into the jar and mix well.

Step 3

Pour chaas into individual glasses, garnish with boondi, cumin powder, coriander leaves and mint leaves. Serve chilled.
