Ingredients for Taco Toast Recipe

  • Brown bread slices 8

  • Butter 1 tablespo

  • Refined flour (maida) 2 tablespoons

  • Milk 1 1/2 cups

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli flakes 1/2 teaspoon

  • Dried oregano 1 teaspoon

  • Green capsicum chopped 1 cup

  • Corn kernels 1 cup

Method

Step 1

Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a non-stick pan. Add refined flour and sauté for a minute.

Step 2

Add milk and stir to mix. Add salt, chilli flakes, oregano and stir to mix. Cook.

Step 3

Add capsicum, corn and mix well. Cook till the mixture thickens. Switch off heat.

Step 4

Spread a portion of the mixture on a bread slice and cover with another bread slice. Similarly make the remaining sandwiches.

Step 5

Heat a non-stick griller. Grill the sandwiches till evenly browned from both sides and grill marks appear on them.

Step 6

Remove from heat, cut into triangles and spread some Jain butter on them. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
