Ingredients for Sweet Potato Kheer With Sago Recipe

  • Sweet potato 1/2 kilogram

  • Milk 2 tablespoons

  • Jaggery (gur) 1/4 kilogram

  • Coconut scraped 4 cups

  • Green cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt a pinch


Step 1

Peel, wash sweet potatoes and cut into thin slices. Cook them with sago in two cups of water, till sweet potatoes become soft. Add jaggery and mix.

Step 2

Grind scraped coconut with four cups of water and extract three cups of thick coconut milk. Add to sweet potatoes mixture.

Step 3

Continue to cook for five minutes. Add cardamom powder and salt. Stir and remove from heat. Serve warm.
