Ingredients for Subz Khichda (Veg Haleem) Recipe

  • Soya Nuggets Soaked and Ground 1

  • Wheat Soaked Broken 2 1/2 tablespoons

  • Onions 2

  • Finely Chopped Garlic 1 tablespoon

  • Turmeric Powder 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli Powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Coriander Powder 1 teaspoon

  • Cumin Powder 1 teaspoon

  • Cinnamon Powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Ghee 2 tablespoons

  • Soaked Barley 1/2 cup

  • Soaked washed moong 1/2 cup

  • Curd 1 cup

  • Almond Powder 3 tablespoons

  • Clove Powder a pinch

  • Kashmiri Mirch Powder 2 teaspoons

  • Chopped Mint 2 tablespoons

  • Chopped Coriander 2 tablespoons

  • Lemon Juice 1

  • For Garnish :

  • Fried Onions 2 tablespoons

  • Coriander 1 sprig

Method

Step 1

Finely chop onions. Heat oil and ghee on a pan.

Step 2

Add chopped garlic, chopped onions, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, cinnamon powder and mix well.

Step 3

Now add soaked and ground soya nuggets, soaked broken wheat and soaked barley. Cover the pan and let it cook.

Step 4

Once cooked remove lid of the pan. Now add curd, almond powder, clove powder, kashmiri mirch powder, finely chopped mint, finely chopped coriander, lemon juice and mix well.

Step 5

Remove Veg Haleem in a bowl. Garnish with fried onions and coriander.
