Ingredients for Schezwan Cheese Fritters Recipe

  • Processed Cheese grated 1 cup

  • Schezwan Chutney 2 teaspoons

  • Onions chopped 1 cup

  • Refined flour (maida) 1/2 cup

  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Spring onions chopped 1/4 cup

  • Baking soda 1 teaspoon

  • Buttermilk as required

  • Oil to deep fry

  • Red chilli sauce as required

  • A little fresh parsley


Step 1

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 2

Put grated cheese in a bowl, add refined flour, baking soda, onions, spring onions, garlic, schezwan chutney and sufficient buttermilk and mix to make a dough. And salt and mix.

Step 3

Shape the mixture into quenelles with 2 teaspoons, slide into hot oil and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 4

Put a little red chilli sauce in a small plate. Place the fritters over the sauce, garnish with a little parsley and serve hot.
