This is one grain that is about 98% percent digestible. In India we are familiar with Basmati, Patna or brown rice but it is also available as Italian Rice and Glutinous Rice which is popular in Chinese and Japanese cuisines.

Ingredients for Rice Pudding with Fresh Fruits Recipe

  • Rice Flour 2 cups

  • Milk mixed with ¼ cup lukewarm water till smooth 2 tablespoons

  • Sugar 2 tablespoons

  • Raspberry jam 3-4 tablespoons

  • Mixed fruits chopped 3-4 tablespoons


Step 1

Heat milk in a pan. When it comes to a boil, add 3 tbsps rice flour paste and mix well. Cook till mixture thickens a little.

Step 2

Add sugar and mix till sugar dissolves completely.

Step 3

Cool and pour into thin long glasses.

Step 4

Drizzle some raspberry jam on top and garnish with chopped mixed fruits of your choice and serve.
