Ingredients for Poha Recipe

  • Onions finely chopped 3 measures

  • Thick poha 2 cups

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Asafoetida a pinch

  • Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon

  • Roasted peanuts crushed 1/4 cup

  • Curry leaves 8-10

  • Green chillies seeded and slit 3-4

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Wash poha thoroughly. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add asafoetida, turmeric powder and peanuts. Mix well.

Step 3

Add curry leaves, green chillies and onion. Mix and sauté till onion is translucent.

Step 4

Add salt to poha and add to the pan. Mix well, cover and cook for 4-5 minutes.

Step 5

Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot.
