Ingredients for Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

  • Oatmeal 2 cups

  • Refined Flour 2 cups

  • Baking soda 1 teaspoon

  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon

  • Salt 1/2 tablespoon

  • Cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon

  • Butter 1 cup

  • Brown sugar 1 1/2 cups

  • Honey 1 tablespoon

  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

  • Eggs 2

  • Raisins 3/4 cups

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with a silicon sheet. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon powder, one by one, into a bowl and mix well. In another bowl beat butter and brown sugar with a hand blender for a couple of minutes. Add honey and vanilla essence and continue to beat. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat.

Step 2

Add the flour mixture and mix well. Add oats and mix well. Add raisins and mix. Form walnut sized balls of the cookie mixture and place on the tray, keeping sufficient distance between each ball.

Step 3

Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and serve hot. Or cool completely and store in an airtight container.
