Ingredients for Nutty Paneer Balls Recipe

  • White Bread a few

  • Cottage Cheese mashed 200 grams

  • White bread slices edges trimmed 4

  • Yogurt 6 tablespoon

  • Baking powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Green chillies finely chopped 2

  • Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Refined flour (maida) 3 tablespoon

  • Oil for deep-frying

Method

Step 1

Spread ¾ tablespoon yogurt on each side of the bread slice, to dampen it. Set aside for a minute. Take paneer in a large bowl, add baking powder, green chillies and coriander leaves and mix.

Step 2

Mash the bread slices well and mix with the paneer mixture. Add salt and black pepper powder. Mix well and add refined flour. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into balls.

Step 3

Stuff a cashewnut in the centre of each ball. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep fry the balls on medium heat until golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with tomato sauce or mint chutney.
