Ingredients for Mozzarella Stuffed Croquettes Recipe

  • Potatoes cut into 12 long sticks 200 grams

  • Mozzarella cheese boiled, peeled and mashed 2-3 medium

  • Parmesan cheese powder 3 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns crushed 1/2 teaspoon

  • Nutmeg powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Egg 1

  • Breadcrumbs 1 cup

  • Oil for deep-frying

Method

Step 1

Mix potatoes, Parmesan cheese, salt, crushed peppercorns and nutmeg powder in a bowl.

Step 2

Break the egg into a small bowl and whisk. Spread the breadcrumbs on a plate.

Step 3

Divide the potato mixture into twelve equal portions and stuff each portion with a mozzarella cheese stick and shape them into a croquette.

Step 4

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 5

Dip the croquettes in the egg, roll in the breadcrumbs and slide into hot oil. Deep-fry till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 6

Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
