Italian cuisine has developed through centuries of social and political changes, with roots stretching to antiquity.  Italian cuisine is simple and a number of dishes having only four to eight ingredients.  They rely mostly on the quality of ingredients rather than elaborate preparation.
Noteworthy changes in Italian cuisine happened with the discovery of the New World and the introduction of potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers and maize, which are now an integral part of this cuisine.  Italian cuisine is known for its regional diversity each with a distinct taste.  This cuisine today is probably one of the most popular in the world.

Ingredients for Minestrone Recipe

  • Macaroni 2 tablespoons

  • Tomato puree 4 1/2 cups

  • Carrot,grated 1/2 medium

  • Potato,grated 1/2 medium

  • Cabbage finely chopped 1/4 small

  • French beans finely chopped 3-4

  • Green zucchini chopped 1/2 medium

  • Yellow zucchini 1/2 medium

  • Garlic 2-3 cloves

  • Tomato concasse 2 tablespoons

  • Tomato puree 1/2 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • White pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Dried oregano crushed 1/2 teaspoon

  • Pine nuts(chilgoza) 3 tablespoons

  • Parmesan cheese 50 grams

Method

Step 1

Heat stock in a deep non stick pan. Add carrot, potato, cabbage, macaroni, French beans, green zucchini and yellow zucchini.

Step 2

Chop garlic and add. Add tomato concasse and tomato puree and mix.

Step 3

Mix salt and white pepper powder in a little stock and add and mix well.

Step 4

Cook till the pasta is done. Add oregano and mix well.

Step 5

Put some pine nuts in the serving bowl. Slice parmesan cheese thinly.

Step 6

When the pasta is cooked pour the soup into the serving bowl, garnish with parmesan slices and serve hot.
