Ingredients for Khuzi Panyaram Recipe

  • For Masala

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Curry Leaves 2 - 4

  • Split Black Gram 2 tablespoons

  • Chopped Dry Red Chilli 2 tablespoons

  • Grated Coconut 1/4 cup

  • Chopped Onion 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Red Chilli Powder 1 teaspoon

  • For Panyaram :

  • Dosa Batter 2 cups

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • For the filling :

  • Crab meat shredded 1/2 cup

  • To Serve :

  • Coconut Chutney as required

  • Red Chilli Powder a pinch

  • For Garnish :

  • Fried Red Chilli as required

  • Fried Curry Leaves as required


Step 1

To prepare masala in a pan heat oil; add curry leaves, chopped dry red chilli, grated coconut, chopped onion, salt, red chilli powder and mix well.

Step 2

In a bowl mix the dosa batter and the prepared masala together.

Step 3

Add oil to the paniyaram maker and add the prepared batter to it Immediately drop ½ teaspoon filling and slightly press .

Step 4

Cover it and let it cook for 5-7 minutes and then remove it once cooked from both the sides.

Step 5

In a jar serve the coconut chutney and place it on a plate. Arrange the paniyarams on the plate and sprinkle red chilli powder.

Step 6

Garnish with fried red chilli and fried curry leaves.
