Ingredients for Honey And Orange Glazed Chicken Recipe

  • Chicken breasts deboned 800 grams

  • Ginger finely chopped 1 inch piece

  • Salt to taste

  • Mustard paste 2 tablespoon

  • Orange juice 6 tablespoon

  • Black peppercorns crushed 3-4

  • Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon

  • Honey 4 tablespoons

  • Lemon juice 2 tablespoons

  • Baby onions peeled 8-10

  • Carrots thickly sliced 2 medium

  • For glaze

  • Orange juice 1/2 cup

  • Red chilli flakes 1/4 teaspoon

  • Honey 1 tablespoon

  • Mustard paste 1 teaspoon


Step 1

In a bowl mix ginger, salt, mustard paste, orange juice, crushed peppercorns, red chilli flakes, honey and lemon juice. Marinade the chicken in this mixture for about an hour. Pre-heat the oven to 200° C.

Step 2

Heat a non-stick pan. Add baby onions, carrots and mix. Roast for two minutes. Take a baking tray. Spread the vegetables at the base. Put marinated chicken over it along with the marinade.

Step 3

Place in the pre-heated oven at 200° C and allow it to bake till done. Meanwhile, for the glaze mix orange juice, red chilli flakes, honey and mustard paste and heat in a non-stick pan till reduced to half the quantity.

Step 4

Mid way through the baking, glaze the chicken with this mixture and continue to bake till the chicken is cooked.
