Ingredients for Herb Crusted Basa Recipe

  • Basa Fish Fillets 4

  • White Bread Slices 4

  • Fresh coriander leaves 3-4 sprigs

  • Fresh mint leaves 8-10

  • Fresh basil leaves 6-7

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Butter 1/2 tesapoon + for greasing

  • Crushed red chillies 1 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180° C.

Step 2

Place fish fillets in a bowl, add ginger-garlic paste, salt and lemon juice, mix well and set aside to marinate for five to seven minutes.

Step 3

To make the crust, tear the bread slices and put in a grinder jar. Add parsley, coriander leaves, mint leaves, torn basil leaves and half teaspoon butter and grind into a coarse powder.

Step 4

Line a baking tray with aluminium foil and grease the foil with a little butter.

Step 5

Add crushed red chillies to the crust mixture and mix well.

Step 6

Arrange the marinated fish fillets on the lined baking tray and place the crust mixture over each fillet. Press well.

Step 7

Keep tray in the preheated oven and bake for five to seven minutes or till the fish is tender.

Step 8

Serve hot.
