Ingredients for Grilled Garlic Pepper Prawns - Grill Pan Recipe

  • Garlic,chopped 10-15 cloves

  • Black peppercorns,crushed 7-8

  • Prawns (kolambi/jhinga) 8 large

  • Olive oil 2 teaspoons

  • Butter 3 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • Rum 1 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Heat olive oil in the Grill Pan. Add butter and garlic and half of the crushed black peppercorns and sauté for one to two minutes.

Step 2

Add prawns, salt, remaining crushed black peppercorns and lemon juice and sauté. Take care that the prawns do not get overcooked.

Step 3

Transfer into a serving dish. Pour rum into a heated deep spoon and hold over the flame till it catches fire.

Step 4

Pour over the prawns immediately to flambé. Serve hot.
