Ingredients for Grilled Chicken Legs with Honey Soya Chilli Sauce Recipe

  • Chicken legs 2

  • Honey 2 teaspoons

  • Soy sauce 4 teaspoons

  • Fresh red chilli 1

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Worcestershire sauce 2 teaspoons

  • Oil 2½ teaspoons

  • Green capsicum 1 small

  • Yellow bell pepper 1 small

  • Red bell pepper 1 small

  • Broccoli separated into florets and blanched 1 small

  • Garlic cloves 3-4

Method

Step 1

Remove the main bone from the chicken legs keeping the knuckle bone intact. Add crushed peppercorns, salt and Worcestershire sauce and rub well on both sides.

Step 2

Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a non-stick grill pan. Place chicken and grill till evenly done from both the sides and grill marks appear on both sides.

Step 3

Cut capsicum and peppers into triangles.

Step 4

Push the chicken to one side of the pan, pour 1 teaspoon oil in the same pan, place the capsicum, peppers and broccoli in it. Season with salt and crushed black pepper and grill till done.

Step 5

To make honey soya chilli sauce, seed and chop red chilli. Roughly chop garlic cloves.

Step 6

Heat remaining oil in a non-stick pan. Add chopped chilli and garlic and sauté for 2 minutes or till the raw flavours disappear.

Step 7

Transfer sautéed ingredients into a bowl. Add soy sauce and honey and mix well.

Step 8

Place the grilled vegetables on a plate and make a bed. Place the grilled chicken on top, drizzle the honey soy chilli sauce on top and serve immediately.
