Ingredients for Garlic and Cheddar Soup Recipe

  • Garlic Cloves 14-16

  • Cheddar Cheese grated 1 cup

  • Butter 110 grams

  • Refined flour (maida) 2 tablespoons

  • Milk 2 cup

  • Brown sugar 1 tablespoon

  • Malt vinegar 1 tablespoon

  • Vegetable stock 4 tablespoons

  • Fresh oregano leaves chopped 1/2 teaspoon


Step 1

Crush garlic. Melt 60 gms butter in a non-stick pan, add maida and sauté.

Step 2

Add milk slowly and cook stirring continuously.Melt remaining butter in another non-stick pan, add garlic and sauté till light brown. Add brown sugar and mix well.

Step 3

Add vinegar and mix well. Add cheddar cheese to the first pan and whisk well. Add vegetable stock and mix.

Step 4

Add garlic chutney to the soup and mix well.

Step 5

Transfer into a serving bowl. Garnish with oregano leaves and serve hot.
