Ingredients for Chicken Dhaniya Kurma Recipe

  • Boneless Chicken Breasts cut into 1½ inch cubes 600 grams

  • Fresh Coriander Leaves finely chopped 2-3 tablespoons

  • Yogurt 1 cup

  • Green chilli paste 1 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 tablespoon

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Bay leaves 4

  • Bay leaves 30-35

  • Cloves 4-5

  • Green cardamoms 6-8

  • Onions sliced 2 medium

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon


Step 1

In a bowl, mix together yogurt, green chilli paste, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt and refined flour.

Step 2

Add 1½ cups water and mix well.

Step 3

Heat oil in a non stick handi, add bay leaves, black peppercorns, cloves, green cardamoms and onions and sauté.

Step 4

Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté. Add chicken and sauté lightly.

Step 5

Add yogurt mixture and mix well.

Step 6

Add coriander leaves, cover and cook, stirring frequently, for 5-6 minutes, till chicken is done. Serve hot.
