Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Basket Recipe

  • Boneless chicken boiled, cut into small pieces 200 grams

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

  • canapé shells 8-10

  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Onion finely chopped 1 small

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 tablespoon

  • Milk ½ cup

  • Processed cheese grated 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Red capsicum curls to garnish


Step 1

Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add onion and sauté till translucent.

Step 2

Add flour and sauté for 30 seconds. Add milk, whisk and cook till the sauce thickens. Add chicken and cheese, mix and cook for 1 minute. Add salt and mix well. Transfer into a bowl.

Step 3

Put some chicken mixture in each canapé.

Step 4

Serve immediately garnished with capsicum curls.
