Ingredients for Cheesey Bread Pakora Recipe

  • Processed Cheese grated 150 grams

  • White Bread Slices 8

  • Gram flour (besan) 1 1/2 cups

  • Salt to taste

  • Onion chopped 1 medium

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Green chillies chopped 2

  • Chaat masala 1 teaspoon

  • Oil to deep fry

  • Soda bicarbonate a pinch

Method

Step 1

Put gram flour and salt in a bowl, add sufficient water and whisk to make a smooth and thick batter of coating consistency.

Step 2

Put cheese, onion, coriander leaves, green chillies and one teaspoon chaat masala in another bowl and mix well. Place a tablespoon of cheese mixture on four bread slices and spread evenly. Cover with remaining bread slices and cut into triangles.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Add soda bicarbonate to the batter and whisk well. Dip each bread triangle in it till they are well coated and deep-fry pakoras in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 4

Cut each triangle into smaller triangles, sprinkle chaat masala on them and serve hot.
