Ingredients for Cheese and Honey Fried Chicken Recipe

  • Chicken cut into 1 inch pieces 400 grams

  • Cheddar Cheese to taste

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Cornflour/ corn starch 1/2 cup

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 cup

  • Egg 1

  • Oil 2 tablespo

  • Cheddar cheese grated 1 cup

  • Butter 2 tablespoons

  • Honey 4 tablespoons

  • Sesame seeds (til) 1 teaspoon

  • Vegetable stock 1/4 cup

  • Spring onion finely chopped 2

Method

Step 1

Marinate chicken with salt, pepper and lemon juice.

Step 2

Reserve one tablespoon corn flour and mix remaining corn flour, refined flour, egg, two tablespoons oil, cheese and half cup water to make a thick batter.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip the chicken pieces in batter and deep fry on medium heat till golden brown and crisp.

Step 4

Drain on absorbent paper. Heat butter in a non stick pan. Add honey and sesame seeds.

Step 5

Cook for four to five minutes. Add vegetable stock and spring onion.

Step 6

Cook for two minutes. Add salt, pepper and mix.

Step 7

Dilute corn flour in one tablespoon water and add to the honey mixture.

Step 8

Cook till mixture thickens.

Step 9

Serve hot with fried chicken.
