Ingredients for Cheese Triangles Recipe

  • Refined Flour 2 cups

  • Processed Cheese 1 cup

  • Margarine 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil to deep fry

  • Mozzarella cheese grated 1/2 cup

  • Onion 1 medium

  • Spring onion greens 2 stalks

  • Fresh parsley sprigs a few

  • Red chilli flakes 1/4 teaspoon

  • White pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Dry oregano 1/4 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Sieve refined flour with salt. Cut margarine into the sieved flour and rub in lightly with fingertips.

Step 2

Add sufficient water and knead into a stiff dough. Keep covered with a damp cloth for half an hour.

Step 3

To make the stuffing peel, wash and chop onion. Trim, wash and chop spring onion greens. Clean, wash and chop parsley.

Step 4

Combine processed cheese, mozzarella cheese, onion, spring onion greens, parsley, red chilli flakes, white pepper powder and oregano and lightly mix using a wooden spoon.

Step 5

Divide dough into sixteen equal portions and roll out into oval shapes. Cut into half and shape into a cone. Fill with cheese stuffing and seal the edges.

Step 6

Refrigerate for about half an hour. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep-fry cheese triangles till crisp and golden. Drain onto an absorbent paper and serve hot.
