Ingredients for Banana Coconut Fritters Recipe

  • Ripe bananas peeled and cut into long pieces 4

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 cup

  • Cornflour/ corn starch 1/2 cup

  • Powdered sugar 1/4 cup

  • Soda bicarbonate a pinch

  • Green cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Cinnamon powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Oil 2 tablespo for deep-frying

  • Dried coconut ( khopra) grated 1/2 cup

  • Icing sugar 1 tablespoon

  • Cocoa powder 1 tablespoon


Step 1

Mixtogether refined flour, cornflour, powdered sugar, soda bicarbonate, green cardamom powder, cinnamon powder and little water to make a thick batter.

Step 2

Add 2 tbsps oil and dried coconut and mix well. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip the bananas in maida batter and slide them in hot oil.

Step 3

Deep fry, on medium heat, till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 4

Transfer onto a serving plate. Sprinkle icing sugar and cocoa powder and serve hot.
