Ingredients for Baby Tinda And Pearl Onion Sabzi Recipe

  • Baby tinda scraped and slit 400 grams

  • Pearl onions peeled and slit 200 grams

  • Coriander powder 1 tablespoon

  • Cumin powder 1/2 tablespoon

  • Dry mango powder (amchur) 1/2 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil 3 tablespoons

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Green chillies slit 2

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon

Method

Step 1

Mix together dhania jeera powder, amchur, turmeric powder, red chilli powder with salt to taste. Stuff each slit tinda and onion with this masala.

Step 2

Heat oil in an iron kadai. Add cumin seeds and green chillies. As the cumin seeds begin to change colour, add tindas and toss in hot oil till they turn brown. Lower heat, cover and cook till nearly done.

Step 3

Add stuffed pearl onions and continue to cook till they are soft. Sprinkle lemon juice and mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapatis.
