Ingredients for Apple And Sausage Fritters Recipe

  • apple 1 medium

  • pork sausages 4

  • Salt to taste

  • baking soda 1/2 teaspoon

  • cinnamon powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • maple syrup 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • refined flour 4 tablespoons

  • cornflour 1/4 cup

  • grated cheddar cheese 1/2 cup

  • breadcrumbs 1 cup

  • Oil for deep-frying

  • mayonnaise 3 tablespoons

  • mustard sauce 2 tablespoons

  • fresh parsley finely chopped 1/4 teaspoon


Step 1

Peel, deseed and finely chop apple and place in a bowl.

Step 2

Roughly chop sausages and add in the bowl. Add salt, baking soda, cinnamon powder, maple syrup, refined flour, cornflour, cheddar cheese, little water and mix well.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions shaped into medium size balls or fritters. Refrigerate the balls for 15 minutes.

Step 4

Spread breadcrumbs on a plate. Coat the balls in the breadcrumbs and dust off the excess.

Step 5

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry the balls till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 6

To make mayo-mustard dip, combine mayonnaise and mustard sauce in a bowl. Mix well.

Step 7

Garnish fritters with parsley and serve hot with mayo-mustard dip.
