Ingredients for Tuna Cakes Recipe

  • Tinned Tuna 1 cup

  • Eggs boiled 4

  • Onion 1 medium

  • Garlic cloves 2

  • Potatoes boiled and peeled 2 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Schezwan chutney 1 teaspoon

  • Oil for greasing and shallow-frying

  • Salad leaves 4-5

  • Micro greens for garnishing

Method

Step 1

Cut onion into quarters. Roughly chop garlic cloves and put both in a grinder jar. Cut eggs into halves, add to the jar and grind into a coarse mixture. Transfer mixture into a bowl.

Step 2

Strain excess liquid from tuna and to the ground egg mixture. Grate potatoes into it, add salt and mix well. Add schezwan chutney and mix well. Refrigerate the mixture till chilled.

Step 3

Grease your palms with oil.

Step 4

Heat some oil in a non-stick pan.

Step 5

Divide the tuna mixture into equal portions and shape them into small cakes. Place these cakes on the pan and shallow-fry till golden from both sides.

Step 6

Tear salad leaves and place on a serving platter. Put tuna cakes on it, garnish with some micro greens and serve hot.
