With the recognition of being an important commercial pulse of the world, soya beans are coming into many kitchens around the world. Soya beans are said to control blood sugar levels, lower cholesterol, regulate the bowels and relieve constipation. Besides the popular tofu or beancurd, the beans are also fermented and used to make flavouring pastes and condiments, notably the Japanese soy sauce or shoyu and miso and the Indonesian tempeh.

Ingredients for Soya bean parantha Recipe

  • Soya Bean 2 cups

  • Whole Wheat Flour to taste

  • Oil 4 tablespoons

  • Soya bean soaked 1 cups

  • Green chilli chopped 2

  • coriander leaves 1 tablespoon

  • Chana masala 1 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

In a bowl combine together whole wheat flour, salt, two tablespoons oil and sufficient water and knead a soft dough. Cover it and keep it aside.

Step 2

In another bowl combine together soya bean, salt, green chillies, coriander, chana masala and mix thoroughly.

Step 3

Divide the dough into equal portions and stuff the soya bean mixture into it. Roll them into thick parathas.

Step 4

Heat a non stick tawa and cook the parathas till golden brown on both the sides drizzling the remaining oil on it.

Step 5

Serve hot.
