Ingredients for Shellfish Peri Peri Recipe

  • Clams 8

  • Mussels (tisre) 8

  • White wine 1/2 cup

  • Olive oil 4 tablespoons

  • Onions chopped 2 medium

  • Green chopped 5

  • Tomatoes blanched and chopped 3 medium

  • Spring onion greens chopped 2 stalks

  • Lemon juice 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons


Step 1

Cook mussels in white wine for five minutes. Meanwhile sprinkle salt and lemon juice over clams and keep aside for five minutes.

Step 2

Heat two tablespoons olive oil in a pan, add onions and green chillies and saute for two to three minutes.

Step 3

Add tomatoes, spring onions (with greens), one cup water and lemon juice and simmer on reduced heat for five minutes.

Step 4

Heat the remaining oil in another pan and saute the shellfish on high heat for few minutes only.

Step 5

Add boiled mussels and continue to saute for a few more minutes.

Step 6

Add the prepared sauce, adjust salt and saute for one minute. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves with boiled rice.
