Ingredients for Pastama Recipe

  • Penne boiled 1 cup

  • Peanuts

  • Olive oil 2 tablespoons

  • Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Green chillies slit 2

  • Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal) 1 tablespoon

  • Split Bengal gram (chana dal) 1 tablespoon

  • Curry leaves 20-25

  • Peanuts 2-3 tablespoons

  • Dried button red chillies (bor mirchi) 6

  • Onions finely chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Veg Bolognese sauce 3 teaspoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Pitted black olives sliced 5-6


Step 1

Heat olive oil in a non stick pan. Add mustard seeds, green chillies, black gram, Bengal gram, curry leaves, peanuts, button chillies and saute till fragrant. Add onions and saute well.

Step 2

Add boiled pasta, turmeric powder and red chilli powder and toss well. Add veg Bolognese sauce and salt and mix well. Transfer into a serving bowl. Sprinkle black olives on top and serve hot.
