Noteworthy changes in Italian cuisine happened with the discovery of the New World and the introduction of potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers and maize, which are now an integral part of this cuisine.  Italian cuisine is known for its regional diversity each with a distinct taste.  This cuisine today is probably one of the most popular in the world.

Ingredients for Pasta In Rice Cooker Recipe

  • Penne Pasta 250 grams

  • Olive oil 3 tablespoons

  • Garlic cloves 6

  • Onions sliced 2 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Salt 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli crushed 1 teaspoon

  • Sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Fresh basil leaves torn 8-10

  • Parmesan cheese grated 2 tablespoons


Step 1

Put the rice cooker on cook mode and pour olive oil in it. Crush garlic and add and sauté for a minute.

Step 2

Add onions and continue to sauté till lightly browned. Add tomato puree and continue to sauté.

Step 3

Add penne pasta, 2 cups water and mix. Add salt, dried herbs, crushed red chillies and sugar and mix well. When the mixture starts boiling add torn basil leaves, parmesan cheese and cover the cooker. Cook till done.Serve hot.
