You are hungry? Poach an egg and have it topped with stir fried veggies – perfect protein source for the body! Check the freshness – keep a raw egg in a bowl of water. Fresh eggs will stay at the bottom while stale eggs stand on end or float.

Ingredients for Homemade Mayonnaise Recipe

  • Egg (room temperature) 1

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Mustard 1/2 teaspoon

  • Sugar 1/2 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 2 teaspoons

  • Oil 1 cup

  • Vinegar 2 teaspoons


Step 1

Break egg into a bowl. Add salt, pepper powder, mustard, sugar and lemon juice and blend with an electric beater. Add 2 tablespoons oil and blend well.

Step 2

Slowly add the remaining oil and keep blending till creamy. Add vinegar and mix well.

Step 3

Use as required.
