Ingredients for Garlicky Paneer Recipe

  • Cottage Cheese cut into 1/2 inch pieces 400 grams

  • Crushed Garlic crushed 12 cloves

  • Oil 3 tablespoons

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Onions chopped 3 medium

  • Ginger-garlic paste 2 teaspoons

  • Green chillies slit 2-3

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

  • Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Yogurt 1 cup

  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Cream 1/2 cup

  • Garlic fried 3-4 cloves

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic, cumin seeds and onions and sauté for two minutes or till the mixture is lightly browned.

Step 2

Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies and mix. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and red chilli powder and mix well.

Step 3

Add salt and yogurt and mix well. When the mixture comes to a boil, add paneer cubes and mix gently.

Step 4

Add garam masala powder, lemon juice and mix lightly. Add cream and switch off the heat. Garnish with fried garlic and serve hot.
