Ingredients for Fish Sticks Recipe

  • Fish fillets boneless, white, cut into fingers 250 grams

  • Oil for deep-frying

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Idli rawa ½ cup

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Egg 1

  • Tartar sauce

  • Mayonnaise ¼ cup

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Pickled jalapenos chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Capers chopped 1 teaspoon

  • gherkin chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Pickled onions chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste


Step 1

Heat sufficient oil in a pan.

Step 2

Take fish in a bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice and salt and mix well.

Step 3

Spread idli rawa on a plate. Add chilli powder and salt and mix well.

Step 4

Break an egg into another bowl and whisk well.

Step 5

Dip each marinated fish fingers in egg, coat with idli rawa mixture and place on another plate.

Step 6

Deep-fry these fish fingers in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 7

To prepare tartar sauce, put mayonnaise, crushed peppercorns, jalapenos, capers, gherkins, pickled onion and salt in another bowl and mix well.

Step 8

Serve the fish sticks hot with tartar sauce.
