Ingredients for Egg and Cheese Sandwich Recipe

  • Eggs 2

  • Boiled Eggs peeled and halved 4-5

  • Cheese slices 4

  • Brown bread slices 8

  • Salt to taste

  • Milk 2-3 teaspoons

  • Mayonnaise 1 tablespoon

  • Lollo rosso lettuce leaves 4-5

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Iceberg lettuce leaves 4-5

Method

Step 1

Heat a non-stick pan.

Step 2

Break eggs into a bowl, add salt and whisk well. Add milk and whisk again. Add mayonnaise and mix well.

Step 3

Pour egg mixture into the hot pan and cook, stirring continuously, till the eggs are scrambled and cooked. Transfer the scrambled eggs into a bowl.

Step 4

Roughly chop boiled eggs in a chopper and add them to the scrambled eggs.

Step 5

Finely chop lollo rosso lettuce leaves and add to the same bowl. Add salt and crushed peppercorns and mix well.

Step 6

Place iceberg lettuce on 4 bread slices, spread egg mixture over them, top with a cheese slice and cover each sandwich with remaining bread slices.

Step 7

Halve all the sandwiches, arrange them on a serving plate and serve immediately.
