Ingredients for Crispy Chicken Legs Recipe

  • Chicken legs 4-8

  • Refined flour (maida) ½ cup + for dusting

  • Melted butter for greasing, brushing and basting

  • Salt to taste

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Garam masala powder ½ teaspoon

  • Paprika powder 1 teaspoon

  • Dried oregano 1 teaspoon

  • Egg 1

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Sugar 1 teaspoon

  • Bread crumbs ½ cup


Step 1

Pat-dry the chicken legs using an absorbent paper and prick all over using a fork.

Step 2

Take chicken in a bowl. Add salt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala powder, paprika powder and dried oregano and mix well. Keep it in the refrigerator to marinate for 1 hour.

Step 3

Preheat oven to 200ºC. Line a baking tray with aluminum foil. Grease with some butter and dust some refined flour.

Step 4

Break egg in another bowl, add salt and crushed peppercorns and whisk well.

Step 5

Spread ½ cup flour on a plate. Add sugar and salt and mix well.

Step 6

Spread breadcrumbs on another plate.

Step 7

Coat each marinated chicken leg with flour mixture, dip in egg mixture and coat with breadcrumbs. Place them on the greased baking tray and brush some butter on top.

Step 8

Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven, baste with some butter and bake again for 10 minutes.

Step 9

Serve hot.
