Ingredients for Crisp Penne and Pumpkin Chips Recipe

  • Penne Pasta 1 cup

  • Pumpkin peeled 300 grams

  • Oil for deep-frying

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Cumin powder 1 teaspoon

  • Chaat masala 2 teaspoons

  • Sugar 1 teaspoon


Step 1

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 2

Thinly slice pumpkin on a slicer and dip them to a bowl of chilled water. Add salt and mix well.

Step 3

Slide penne pasta into hot oil, one by one, and deep-fry till crisp and brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Transfer the fried penne into a bowl.

Step 4

Drain water from the pumpkin and deep-fry in same hot oil till crisp and light brown. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 5

Add salt, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, cumin powder and chaat masala to penne and mix well. Add sugar and mix well.

Step 6

Sprinkle salt and pepper powder on pumpkin chips.

Step 7

Transfer penne onto a serving platter, top with pumpkin chips and serve.
