Ingredients for Chocolate Cookies Recipe

  • Chocolate chopped 325 grams

  • Chocolate melted 100 grams

  • Refined flour (maida) 108 grams

  • Baking powder 3 grams

  • Cocoa powder 100 grams

  • Eggs 2

  • Butter 80 grams

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 80 grams


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Step 2

Sift together the refined flour with baking powder and cocoa powder into a bowl.

Step 3

Break eggs into another bowl.

Step 4

Cream butter and castor sugar with an electric beater in another bowl.

Step 5

Add eggs, one by one and beat till well blended.

Step 6

Add melted chocolate and beat till well blended.

Step 7

Add chopped chocolate to flour mixture and mix well.

Step 8

Add chocolate-flour mixture to creamed mixture and fold in with the help of a spatula till it becomes a dough. Refrigerate for 40-50 minutes.

Step 9

Divide dough into equal portions and flatten them into cookies. Place cookies on a baking tray, put the tray in preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Step 10

Remove from heat and cool. Serve or store in an airtight container.
