Ingredients for Chilli Garlic Lamb Chops Recipe

  • Green chillies finely chopped 1-2

  • Kashmiri red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic finely chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Lamb chops (chaampan) 8-12

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Coriander seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Ginger-garlic paste 2 teaspoons

  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Oil 1 tablespoon + for grilling

  • Yogurt 1/4 cup

  • Refined flour (maida) 2-3 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Combine lemon juice, salt and lamb chops in a bowl, mix well and set aside for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Dry roast coriander seeds for a minute. Transfer in a mortar and crush coarsely with a pestle. Add green chillies and crush. Add turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala powder and chilli powder and mix.

Step 3

Add the masala to the lamb chops and mix well. Set aside for 30 minutes.

Step 4

Add garlic and chilli flakes and mix well. Add 1 tablespoon oil and mix well. Add yogurt and mix well. Set aside for 30 minutes.

Step 5

Add flour to the lamb chops and mix well.

Step 6

Heat some oil in a non-stick grill pan. Place the lamb chops in it, apply the marinade on top and grill till evenly done from all sides and the chops are fully cooked.

Step 7

Garnish with coriander sprigs and serve hot with onion rings.
