Ingredients for Cheese Fondue Recipe

  • Gruyere cheese grated 1 cup

  • emmantal cheese grated 1 cup

  • Garlic cloves 2

  • White wine ½ cup + 3 tablespoons

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Cornflour/ corn starch 1 tablespoon

  • Nutmeg powder ¼ teaspoon

  • French bread cut into pieces for serving For topping

Method

Step 1

Heat a non-stick pan and rub garlic cloves all around on its inner side. Add ½ cup white wine and let it heat for 1 minute.

Step 2

Add lemon juice, swirl and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add emmantal cheese and mix. Add gruyere cheese and mix till both the cheese melts.

Step 3

Take corn flour in a bowl. Add remaining white wine and mix well to make slurry. Add it to the cheese mixture, mix and cook till it thickens.

Step 4

Add nutmeg powder and whisk well.

Step 5

Serve immediately with French bread pieces.
