Ingredients for Cajun Spiced Fish with Grape Salsa Recipe

  • Fish fillets basa, cut into two 4

  • Cajun spice 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Lemon juice of ¼ lemon

  • Fresh basil leaves 3-4

  • Garlic chopped 2 teaspoons

  • Oil 1 teaspoon

  • Lemon slices to serve

  • Grape salsa

  • Black grapes cubes ½ cup

  • Onion 1 medium

  • Green chilli 1

  • Lemon juice of ¼ lemon

  • Salt to taste

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Tabasco sauce 1 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Place Basa fillets in a bowl, add salt, crushed peppercorns and lemon juice. Roughly chop basil leaves and add along with garlic and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2

To make grape salsa, take grapes in a bowl. Finely chop onion and green chilli and add. Add lemon juice, salt, crushed peppercorns and Tabasco sauce and mix well. Set aside.

Step 3

Heat oil in a non-stick pan.

Step 4

Sprinkle 1 tablespoon Cajun spice on marinated fish fillets and put them in the pan, spiced side down. Lower heat, sprinkle remaining Cajun spice on the other side of the fish fillets and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Step 5

Serve hot with grape salsa and lemon slice.
