Ingredients for Cabbage Pickle Recipe

  • Cabbage chopped 1 cup

  • Red chilli powder 1 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Mustard powder 3/4 cup

  • Roasted fenugreek powder (methi) 1/2 teaspoon

  • Sesame oil 3/4 cup

  • Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Hing 1/2 teaspoon

  • Lemon Juice 1 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

In a bowl mix together cabbage, red chilli powder, salt, mustard powder and roasted fenugreek powder and keep it aside.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non stisk pan add mustard seeds, hing and when it starts spluttering add it to the cabbage mixture.

Step 3

Add lemon juice and mix well.

Step 4

Store it in air tight containers and let it stand for fifteen days.

Step 5

Serve with roti.
